BEAVER (WOAY) – The Reiki Training Center of West Virginia is holding courses where students can become certified Reiki practitioners.
Reiki is an ancient Japanese energy healing method designed to be a holistic medicine choice for people who have already tried traditional medicine for certain ailments.
Regina Pino-Bell, a Reiki master teacher at the training center says the alternative healing method is meant to open up people to a more spiritual side of themselves.
“So it’s another form to allow your chakra centers to be opened up so your energy can flow. People deal with a lot of depression, anger, addictions. It treats a whole realm of different issues,” Pino-Bell said.
Students go through three different training seminars before becoming certified.
