Beckley, WV (WOAY) The Raleigh County Veterans and First Responders Museum is inviting the community to honor local heroes this Memorial Day weekend with a series of events and special museum hours in Beckley.
On Saturday, May 23, volunteers will gather at 9:00 a.m. at the American Legion Post 32 Veterans Cemetery on Bair Street to place flags on every headstone in honor of fallen service members.
Complimentary refreshments will be available for volunteers taking part in the tribute.
The museum, located on South Eisenhower Drive in Beckley, will also be open to the public on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
The museum will be closed on Sunday.
On Monday, the museum will reopen from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for visitors looking to explore the history, artifacts, and stories of the region’s veterans and first responders.
