Beckley,WV (WOAY)- The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office is stepping up patrols in construction zones across the county over the next several months.
This move comes in response to a growing number of complaints about speeding and drivers ignoring flaggers directing traffic.
To protect both road crews and drivers, deputies will be enforcing a zero-tolerance policy for any traffic violations in these active work zones.
Officials are urging all motorists to slow down, stay alert, and obey posted speed limits, signage, and directions from flaggers — especially when workers are on-site.
Remember, these crews are out there improving the roads
Let’s do our part to keep them, and ourselves, safe by staying cautious and driving responsibly.
