Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) Students across Raleigh County Schools will get a preview of the next school year during Move Up Day on May 27.
The special event is designed to help students feel more comfortable and confident about transitioning to a new grade level or school.
During the day, students will visit the next grade level at their current school, while fifth and eighth-grade students will travel to the school they’ll attend next year.
Students will have the chance to tour buildings, meet teachers and staff, and learn more about classes, activities, and opportunities available to them.
School leaders say Move Up Day helps reduce anxiety, build connections, and get students excited for the year ahead.
