Fayetteville, WV (WOAY) A Beckley man has been sentenced in Fayette County for drug conspiracy and firearm charges.
According to the Fayette County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, 45-year-old Sharrell E. Bell of Beckley will serve 7 years in prison for conspiracy to deliver and possess fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine with the intent to deliver.
Bell was also sentenced to a 3-year consecutive term for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Bell is unable to legally possess a firearm due to a prior conviction for felonious assault in Michigan in 2003.
Bell pled guilty to the crimes on August 6 and must serve 2.5 years in prison before being eligible for parole.
According to court documents, between May 27, 2025, and June 3, 2025, Bell and another individual were the targets of a drug trafficking investigation in Scarbro and Oak Hill.
During two controlled purchases, Bell sold fentanyl and a mixture of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
In June 2025, law enforcement conducted search warrants on two separate residences, discovering additional amounts of fentanyl and cocaine.
The total amount of fentanyl sold by Bell and seized in the search was 32 grams, and the mixture of methamphetamine and fentanyl totaled almost 17 grams.
Authorities also recovered a 9mm firearm and $5,000 in cash from controlled purchases from Bell’s residence.
