Raleigh County Public Library sees great success with children’s programs

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Raleigh County Public Library has been hard at work providing activities for families during the pandemic.

Over the summer many libraries have had to change how they operate to keep patrons safe, and many have had to cancel regular family activities. However the Raleigh County Public Library is still offering new activities for kids like reading programs and crafts.

The library’s director Amy Stover says they are pleased to provide a creative outlet for children during the pandemic.

“Things have been going very well. We’re so happy we can help out the children and the community to find some fun activity to do. And with the pools closed and the movie theaters closed, we just wanted to have something that they can enjoy each week.”

The Raleigh County Library offers new activities each month for families.
