Crab Orchard, WV (WOAY) – A Raleigh County man has been arrested and charged with the first-degree murder of a woman in Crab Orchard.
Raleigh County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a suicide by firearm at the Barnes Mobile Home Park on August 23.
During their investigation, authorities discovered the death was a homicide following reports of a man allegedly running from the crime scene.
Police identified the individual as Demarco J. Edwards, 32, of Raleigh County, who they found in a nearby area.
The victim’s identity has not been disclosed as authorities seek to notify the family first.
