Beckley, WV(WOAY)—The Humane Society of Raleigh County is doing its part to help control the pet population, which is one of the largest contributors to overcrowded shelters and stray animals.
From now through April 15, the shelter will provide low-income Raleigh County residents with free spay and neuter vouchers every Saturday.
Pet owners can bring proof of low income for a free voucher.
All pets will be required to be up to date on vaccines before they can be spayed or neutered.
Vouchers can be used at Oak Hill Animal Hospital, Fayette Veterinary Hospital, and both Beckley Vet locations.
For more information, contact the shelter at (304) 253-8921 or visit their website at hsrcwv.org.
