Rainy and muggy week ahead

Howdy folks and happy Sunday. We are looking at a hot and wet week across Southern West Virginia with daily rain chances expected, in addition to above average temperatures. Moisture from what used to be Chantal will approach the area tonight, but most, if not all, will stay dry this evening. This will quickly change starting on Monday.

Multiple disturbances will filter through our neck of the woods, bringing the chance of rain to everyone each day this week. However, the focus should be on the word ‘chance’, because I can guarantee you won’t see rain every day at your home. It is still likely you’ll see rain a few times this week, so keep that in mind when making outdoor plans.

Temperatures will remain the mid to high 80s for the first half of the week, cooling down to near normal in the low 80s by the week’s end. Be sure to hydrate and head indoors any time you hear thunder! Stay safe!
