PCH and WVU Medicine Children’s announce partnership and will celebrate with community event on May 21

Princeton, WV (WOAY)- A new chapter in pediatric care is coming to southern West Virginia.

WVU Medicine, Princeton Community Hospital(PCH), and WVU Medicine Children’s are celebrating their new affiliation with a community event and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Princeton Community Hospital.

The family-friendly event will feature giveaways for kids, games, face painting, a buffet dinner, a live performance by the PikeView Marching Band, and a special appearance by Atlas, the WVU Medicine Children’s therapy dog.

Through this partnership, families in the Two Virginias will now have expanded access to high-quality pediatric care, closer to home.

The affiliation brings in more specialists, advanced treatments, and the resources of one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals.

In a press release, PCH President and CEO Karen Bowling says the event marks a commitment to compassionate, expert care for the region’s youngest patients.
