Oak Hill City Manager applications due by May 23

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY)- The city of Oak Hill is seeking a new city manager to lead its vibrant community of over 8,000 residents.  

The application submission deadline is closing in. 

With an $8 million budget, this full-service city is looking for a dynamic leader to oversee departments like fire, public works, and the sanitary board, while driving downtown revitalization and strategic planning.  

The minimum qualifications for this position include at least five years of managerial experience at a senior level in a governmental entity, preferably as a city manager, county administrator, or in a similar position at another governmental agency.   

The position also requires candidates to have a four-year Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in public administration, public policy, business, or a related field.

A Master’s of Business Administration or Public Administration from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required.  

The successful candidate must live in the area upon employment.
