Beaver, WV (WOAY)- New River Community and Technical College is partnering with the American Red Cross to help meet the constant universal need for blood transfusions.
The college is hosting a blood drive on Thursday, August 29.
The event is open to the public and will be held at New River’s Raleigh County campus in Beaver from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The Red Cross reports a current universal blood shortage.
The organization is offering $20 Amazon gift cards to donors who give blood in August to encourage more donations.
Donors will receive gift cards via email.
Anyone wanting to give blood must bring a photo ID, a blood donor card, or two forms of identification to donate.
