Morgantown, WV (WOAY) – West Virginia is 2-0 after a 52-17 win over Youngstown State Saturday night in Morgantown.
Neither the rain, nor an opening-drive interception, deterred the Mountaineers, who took a 21-7 lead into halftime. WVU would increase their lead with four touchdowns in the second half.
Will Grier completed 21 of 26 passes for 332 yards and four touchdowns, three of them to Gary Jennings. Freshman running back Leddie Brown ran for 115 yards and a touchdown, while Marcus Simms recorded 119 receiving yards.
West Virginia heads to North Carolina State next Saturday.
