WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Showers are currently moving over the area for the morning commute, but will clear out in the afternoon to cloudy skies. Tonight, the backend of the front will bring showers and thunderstorms into the area, although nothing severe is expected. Temperatures will drop below freezing, changing the rain to snow around 2-3am in the morning and lingering into the rest of the morning Friday before yielding to mostly sunny skies.
Saturday will continue the rainy trend as rain and snow showers are possible, otherwise it will be mostly cloudy through the day. Sunday will clear up, but the cold air will come with the nicer weather for our first cold shot of a few expected during the month.
Monday into Tuesday will be mostly sunny before rain starts Tuesday night. This is the precursor to the storms that will be affecting our area on Wednesday. We are expecting thunderstorms through the day on Wednesday with flooding in the area possible, especially in vulnerable, low-lying areas. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the forecast:
