Mercer County Launches 40-Day ‘Keep Mercer Clean’ Campaign in April

Mercer County, WV (WOAY) – Mercer County residents will have ample opportunity to dispose of solid waste during April as part of the 40-day “Keep Mercer Clean” campaign.

Free dumpsters will be available at different Mercer County schools every Saturday in April from 8 a.m. to noon. There is no limit on the number of trips. Items not accepted include propane tanks, hazardous waste, paint, chemicals and tires, though two designated days in April will allow for free tire disposal.

Beginning in April, the county will also conduct litter cleanup two days per week, collecting hundreds of pounds each day.
