Lower Temperatures and Snow Midweek

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY-TV): After a mostly dry start to this week, snow returns midweek. 

TONIGHT: The rest of Monday will be seasonable and mostly dry. A few isolated showers are possible Monday night for the southern counties in our viewing area. Temperatures overnight leading into Tuesday morning will fall in the low 30’s. 

TUESDAY: Partly cloudy and dry through the day. Temperatures reach a high in the low 40’s. After dinnertime Tuesday night, showers move into our viewing area. 

WEDNESDAY: Early Wednesday morning, rain showers transition to snow as temperatures fall into the upper 20’s. Light snow accumulation can be expected. Watch out for slick secondary roads and sidewalks. Totals in the lowlands will range from a dusting to an inch. Totals in the highest elevations could reach 4-5 inches. Snow will end Wednesday afternoon.  

LATE WEEK: A few icy spots are possible Thursday morning as temperatures fall into the mid 20’s. Snow will melt by Thursday afternoon. Temperatures warm back up into the mid to upper 50’s by Friday. A drier end to the week can be expected.
