Justice Accepts Comments on Proposed Hunting and Fishing Regulations

(OAK HILL) WOAY – In Governor Jim Justice’s briefing, he announced that the WV Division of Natural Resources will host twelve in-person meetings for the public to discuss proposed hunting, trapping and fishing regulations for the 2024-2025 seasons.

The meetings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 11th, and the same time on Tuesday, March 12th. They are open to everyone interested who wants to review and comment on these proposals.

The meetings on Monday will be at the following locations:

Grafton – Tygart Lake State Park Lodge
Martinsburg – Martinsburg Holiday Inn (I-81, Exit 13)
Elkins – WVDNR Operations Center (Ward Road)
Beckley – Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center
Milton – West Virginia Pumpkin Park (Office Building)
Cairo – Spencer Heritage Park Community Building

The meetings on Tuesday will be at the following locations: 

Triadelphia – Cabela’s Wheeling (2nd Floor Conference Room)
Moorefield – South Branch Inn (Route 220 and Corridor H)
Sutton – Braxton County High School
Pipestem – Pipestem Resort State Park Lodge
Logan – Chief Logan State Park Conference Center
Parkersburg – WVDNR District 6 Office (Emerson Ave. and Conservation Way)

If you can’t attend in person, don’t worry, you can still send in a written comment instead by filling out and sending a form to the WVDNR. Access to the form can be found on the WVDNR’s website, via the link HERE. Comments must be sent by April 2nd.
