Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office has shared a press release stating that on Friday, May 29, they found an adult male lying on the ground with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Deputies provided first aid as they waited for EMS. The West Virginia State Police and Beckley Police Department also helped.
Once EMS arrived, they transported the male to a local hospital for treatment. An update on his condition has not been released.
Law Enforcement states there is no ongoing threat to the public. The incident remains under investigation.
