Princeton, WV (WOAY) – April is Donate Life Month. Its purpose is to raise awareness around organ, eye, and tissue donors while encouraging Americans to register to be donors and honor those who have saved lives through the gift of donation.
On Tuesday, WVU Medicine, Princeton Community Hospital and the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE) recognized the month with an annual flag raising.
Hospitals across the United States fly the Donate Life flag in April to signal their support.
After all, organ donation is a godsend to those who need these organs, and who have very few options.
When you renew or acquire a driver’s license, you have the option to become an organ donor. You can also visit the website here at any time to decide to have a tremendous impact on someone’s life.
