BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Harper Road is now closed at the intersection of Peter Drive after a tree fell, leaving hundreds without power.
Dispatchers received the call at around 4:44 p.m. and the Bradley-Prosperity Fire Department responded.
Traffic is being diverted around Circleview Drive while they have that part of the road shut down.
As of 5:30 p.m., according to Appalachian Power, around 1,200 are without power in Raleigh County. AEP has been dispatched to the scene.
