Governor Morrisey declares State of Emergency for West Virginia ahead of weekend storm

Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – All 55 counties in West Virginia are now in a State of Emergency due to the approaching winter storm.

Governor Morrisey formally requested that President Trump issue a Presidential Emergency Disaster Declaration for West Virginia.

The National Weather Service is forecasting snow amounts of 9 to 12 inches, starting Saturday through Monday.
