CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY) – It’s been four weeks since Governor Justice announced his stay-at-home order and people continue to struggle financially.
Since then, businesses across the state have either closed indefinitely or struggled to keep up. Justice in his recent press conference has announced that he is planning to slowly reopen the state, but that it must be done carefully.
“We have got to start back. And I will assure you that we will start back as safely as we possibly possibly can. But there’s no possibility that we can avoid a hundred percent of the risk,” Justice said.
Knowing when to relax the stay-at-home order is the challenge. If done too soon, the effect on public health could be detrimental, and if it’s done too late, the economy will take longer to fully recover.
