FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Are you engaged and ready to make the most of your wedding day? Then think Bridge Day 2025.
Wedding officiant Todd Gray reached out to the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce with the idea of offering 20 couples an inspiring way to get married.
Think stunning backdrop and incredible memories to share.
“He’s planning to do one every 15 minutes, allowing time for people to stop and take pictures after their elopement, and then for the next group of people to walk in,” said FCCC, New River Gorge CVB, Bridge Day Executive Assistant Tim Naylor. “I don’t know how many people he’s going to try to knock out within that timeframe, but I think he’s already got some interest.”
According to Naylor, 30 years ago, a couple of folks got married on the bridge and then base jumped.
“Bridge Day is a big deal. So I think being able to say that you were married on Bridge Day would probably be a cool idea for some people,” the executive assistant said.
