Scarbro, WV (WOAY)- The Fayette County Commission announces the tire collection scheduled for Wednesday, January 21, is now cancelled.
Organizers cancelled the event due to individuals disposing of old tires outside of the designated collection day.
The Fayette County Commission urges residents to only dispose of tires during collection day events so the Litter Office may continue hosting events in the future.
Tire Collection Day takes place on the third Wednesday of each month from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Kevin’s Auto Sales at 35 Elizabeth James Road in Scarbro.
