Green Bank, WV (WOAY) The Green Bank Observatory is officially under new leadership.
The U.S. National Science Foundation National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NSF NRAO) announces Dr. Anthony Remijan as the observatory’s Director.
Remijan has a wealth of experience in the industry as a distinguished astrophysicist and leader in the advancement of molecular astrophysics and radio astronomy.
He most recently served as Green Bank’s interim director and has worked with the NSF NRAO for more than 20 years.
Throughout his career, Remijanhas helped astronomers shape understanding of the chemistry of the interstellar medium, explore how complex molecules form, and what they reveal about the origins of life.
Remijan succeeds former observatory director Dr. Jim Jackson following his retirement from the role.
