Fayette County plans to file for Cares funding

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – Counties across the state have begun filling for lost revenue during COVID-19.

Fayette County Resource Coordinator, Gabriel Pena, says as of right now, Fayette County does not have an estimate on what they plan on request, but will have more information soon.

“At this point, we are just collecting invoices for any expenses that were unanticipated due to the coronavirus pandemic. We’re looking more along the line of $100,000 for 2020, but that is subject to change,” said Pena.

Pena says Fayette County will have to request an amount by June 30th.
