WELCH, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia Department of Health will be opening a new rural health clinic in McDowell County.
It will be opened at the Welch Community Hospital. A section of the hospital will be turned into a walk-in clinic.
There will be a separate entrance and laboratory, helping to reduce patient wait times.
There will be 19 rooms and a full staff with an Advanced Practice Clinician and Licensed Practical Nurses.
The hours will be from 9 a.m. through 9 p.m., seven days a week.
