Oceana, WV (WOAY)- An early morning fire in Wyoming County has claimed the lives of two people.
The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office (WVSFMO) reports the fire occurred around 1:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 30, at a home located on Roman Road in Oceana.
An adult female and a child were later found deceased in the home by West Virginia State Fire Marshal investigators.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing by the WVSFMO.
The victims have been transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy and identification.
