West Virginia (CNN)- A recall linked to cucumbers from “Bedner Growers Inc.” has expanded.
“Coastal Companies” states that this covers 17 products made from “Bedner” cucumbers and distributed by “Fresh Start Produce Sales Inc.”
It’s over the potential for salmonella contamination.
The items on the recall list include packages of fresh mild and hot salsa, as well as certain salads, including chicken, egg, and tuna salad.
The Food and Drug Administration says these products were sent to several states, including Virginia and West Virginia, earlier this month.
So far, no related illnesses have been reported.
Officials say consumers and retailers should discard these foods immediately.
More than two dozen people were reported sick from the original cucumber recall.
