Ghent, WV (WOAY) If you’ve got used gear collecting dust in the garage, here’s your chance to clear it out or score something new.
Winterplace is hosting a gear swap and yard sale this Sunday, March 8.
Starting at 9:00 a.m., bring your used ski or snowboard gear and equipment to the back deck of the mountain house.
Whether you’re looking to sell it, swap it, or shop for something new-to-you, this is the place to do it.
And the fun doesn’t stop there, Winterplace says, come for the yard sale but stay for the Pond Skim.
The splash-filled tradition returns to Winterplace at the Mountain House.
Registration runs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the day of the event, with the skim kicking off at 2:00 p.m. Entry is free with the purchase of a lift ticket.
The goal is to make it the furthest across the pond from the lowest point to take home the grand prize.
All participants must sign a waiver, and minors must have a parent’s signature.
Spectators are welcome at no cost, with the best viewing area near the course.
