Summersville, WV (WOAY) Enrollment is now open in Nicholas County for the 2026–2027 school year.
Nicholas County Schools and the Nicholas Community Action Partnership (NCAP) are hosting preschool and kindergarten enrollment events this week.
Parents can register on Thursday, March 5, at the Summersville City Building from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Friday, March 6, at the Richwood Public Library from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
To be eligible, preschool students must be 3 or 4 years old, and Kindergarten students must be 5 years old, on or before July 1, 2026.
Families should bring a state-certified birth certificate, immunization records, proof of address, medical insurance information, and physical and dental exam forms.
Proof of income is required for preschool enrollment.
Organizers say bring the documents you have, and it’s okay if you don’t have everything.
Online registration is also available through the Nicholas County Board of Education and NCAP websites.
