Mount Hope, WV (WOAY)- The Fayette County Commission Office of Litter Control invites the community to help clean up the neighborhood.
The office will host three community cleanup events in Mount Hope on May 21-23 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
There will be on-site roll-off dumpsters at 679 Stadium Drive, across from the football field.
The event is open to all Fayette County residents.
To participate, you must have ID, proof of residency, and a valid trash service or landfill receipt dated within the last 30 days.
Anyone disposing of waste in the dumpsters without approval could face legal fines or jail time.
Tires and appliances will be accepted during the cleanup.
The cleanup is not open to trash haulers or dump trucks, and no hazardous waste or liquids will be accepted.
Once dumpsters are full, no more contents will be accepted.
