City of Mount Hope hosting annual Christmas Festival and Parade on December 6

Mount Hope, WV (WOAY) – The Mount Hope Events Committee is stringing up the holiday lights and cueing up the Christmas carols for the city’s annual Christmas Festival and Parade coming up on Saturday, December 6. 

Anyone interested in being in the parade is welcome to join by just coming to the parade lineup no later than 5:30 p.m. 

There are also more opportunities available for local vendors to participate and make some holiday sales at the vendor market. 

The vendor market will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

This year, they are continuing to stoke some friendly Christmas competitions with a gingerbread house contest from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and an ugly sweater contest at 4:00 pm. 

Gingerbread houses must be built in advance and dropped off by 2:30 pm at the gym.
