Beckley, WV (WOAY) – The City of Beckley has announced promotions for 7 of its police officers.
At a ceremony, held in Beckley City Council Chambers on Monday, January 27, family, friends and fellow officers gathered as Mayor Ryan Neal administered the oath to each officer.
Lieutenant William Ray and Lieutenant Jason McDaniel were promoted to Captain.
Sergeant Johhny Wall, Sergeant Adam Jones, and Sergeant David Bailey were promoted to Lieutenant.
Corporal Joseph Hunter and Corporal Timothy Capehart were promoted to Sergeant.
Beckley Chief of Police Dean Bailey and Assistant Chief of Police David Allard were both on hand to congratulate each officer on their promotion.
