Racine, WV (WOAY) The United Mine Workers of America is marking Labor Day with its 88th annual Labor Day Celebration.
The event is set for Monday, September 7, starting at 11:00 a.m. at John Slack Memorial Park in Racine.
This year’s theme is “Honoring Our Past, Building Our Future,” celebrating the strength and dedication of American workers.
The celebration will feature a pig roast, live entertainment, kids’ activities, and a cash prize drawing.
UMWA Secretary-Treasurer Mike Phillippi is the featured guest speaker.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy a day of family, tradition, and community.
