CASE WV Energy Rebate Programs launch on September 28

West Virginia (WOAY) Eligible homeowners and renters in six southern West Virginia counties could soon have access to thousands of dollars in rebates for energy-efficient home improvements.

Community Action of Southeastern West Virginia (CASE-WV) says its West Virginia Home Energy Rebate Programs officially launch September 28.

The program is funded through an $88 million investment from the West Virginia Department of Energy.

Greenbrier, Mercer, Monroe, Pocahontas, Raleigh and Summers County residents may qualify for up to $20,000 through the H.O.M.E.S. rebate program for improvements like insulation, air sealing, windows and exterior doors.

Another program could provide up to $14,000 for eligible home electrification projects and energy-efficient appliances.

CASEWV is also recruiting qualified contractors, which officials say could create new opportunities for electricians, HVAC technicians, and other skilled workers across the region.
