Bitter Cold, Snow Return to Southern West Virginia

Mother Nature gave us a “reprieve” from the bitter cold and snow Sunday and Monday but things change going into Tuesday.

Chief Meteorologist Chad Merrill has the latest:

SNOW: Expect about 2″ of snow Tuesday after 6 p.m. through early Wednesday, with snow accumulating on every roadway by 8-9 p.m. Another 2″ of snow is expected Thursday evening with the passage of another front. More snow is expected late Saturday into Sunday following the passage of another Arctic front.

TEMPERATURES: Each front will bring in colder temperatures. We will eventually end up with low temperatures below zero degrees by Wednesday, January 22. A comparison to the weather pattern we have in store through next week is January 2014. See the temperatures and snowfall we had during that cold spell below.
