Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – The Raleigh County Historical Society is bringing history to life for folks in the city of Beckley.
Beckley’s Founder’s Day 2026 will take place on Saturday, May 30, at the historic Wildwood House Museum on Laurel Terrace in Beckley.
The living history event will allow those in attendance to take a guided tour of Wildwood, see historical reenactments, hear live music, and view historical exhibits and photographs.
The City of Beckley was founded as a coal town in 1838. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest cities in the state.
The living history event gets underway at 2:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
Admission is free.
