Huntington, WV (WOAY) Members of the Huntington Violent Crime Drug Task Force arrested a Beckley man following a traffic stop in Huntington’s Fairfield neighborhood on February 25.
30-year-old Tevante Dean Hoskins is charged with multiple offenses, including felony possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, battery on a police officer, and obstructing an officer.
Authorities say Hoskins was out on bond from a recent Kanawha County arrest for conspiracy to distribute fentanyl.
He was also recently charged in Raleigh County with being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
Hoskins was previously convicted of voluntary manslaughter in 2018 and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Due to that conviction, he is legally prohibited from possessing a firearm.
