BECKLEY, WV (WOAY)- To manifest is to visualize something so it’ll be more likely to happen. The Bekley Arts Center hosted the Manifest Your Magic event to do just that.
“So we created vision boards to help bring in the new year,” said Sydney Rosenberg, Teaching artist, BAC Programming Partner. “So that was a mixed media collage activity to support people and explore their goals for the new year and the things they’re excited about, the things they want to leave in the past. So it was a workshop to build confidence and do those things together as a group.”
They were able to share their experiences and hopes for the new year. Every board was personal to each person.
“It was very helpful. You had a personal section, a business section, and then just things that I want to improve overall health. So I kind of did my board in that way,” said Tara Barlow, Participant. “So be a nice reminder for me either daily or weekly to keep me on the way. We get so busy day to day that we tend to lose sight of what we want to focus on. We always have good intentions. So it’s just a way to reinforce those intentions and keep their top of mind.”
They hope to have more events like this in the future. While this event has passed, everyone who came, including myself, can always add to it when we feel we need to.
