West Virginia (WOAY)The ASPCA is making it easier for shoppers to find more humanely raised food.
The organization has launched ASPCA ShopKind, a free online tool that helps consumers locate meat, eggs, and dairy products from farms and brands that meet higher animal welfare standards.
The interactive map includes more than 34,000 locations nationwide, including farms, grocery stores, farmers’ markets, and online retailers.
The launch comes as new survey data shows nearly seven in ten Americans say they don’t know where to find more humanely raised food in their communities.
The tool also offers tips on understanding food labels and identifying products that meet stronger welfare standards.
