Another Nice Day; Active Weather Follows

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Another mostly sunny day with seasonable temperatures will be in store for us today. The morning starts off a bit brisk, but slightly warmer for the Greenbrier Valley than yesterday. Layers are needed through the day, especially before sunrise and after sunset. The winds are dying down thankfully, which will make the ten degree decrease in temperatures compared to yesterday afternoon less noticeable. This will be the last day of uneventful weather, as a more active pattern is on the way. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:

Friday will start off nice, but will turn into a rainy day starting in the afternoon. The cold front will just be approaching in the afternoon, bringing more widespread rain overnight as it passes through the region. We’ll get around a quarter to a half inch of rain in most places through Saturday morning, but isolated spots will see some heavier amounts. Gusty winds are possible as the storms develop and pass through. After the rain lingers Saturday morning, conditions will get better in the afternoon. We’ll return to mostly sunny skies in the afternoon, but those conditions won’t last for long.

Sunday will bring another round of rain into the region, and with it comes a cold front passing through. This front will take temperatures down from the 50s into the upper 20s by Sunday night, prompting a switch from rain to snow Sunday evening and beyond. Monday will feature more scattered snow showers before conditions clear up for the middle of the week. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
