All WVU students to take COVID-19 training module before returning to campus

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – As well as being required to be tested, all students, faculty and staff in the WVU System of Schools need to complete a COVID-19 training course.

The course is set up as an online module that everyone attending campus in the fall needs to complete before August 22. According to WVU Tech Campus President Carolyn Long, the module is meant to provide students with a basic understanding of COVID-19, how it spreads and how to stay safe while on campus.

“Now WVU and Tech and Keyser have been very good at sending out all kinds of information, but this kind of puts it all in one area. You can sit and read about it. It tells you what’s gonna be expected, and also the reasons why we’re doing the things we’re doing on campus,” Long said.

Those who don’t complete the module by August 22 will be subject to a $250 fine.
