WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Morning temperatures dip into the 30s once again, causing patchy frost across the region. As with previous mornings, make sure to wear warm layers before you head out the door. Fog will be a non-issue for most, but a few of the usual valley spots may experience visibility issues. If you run into fog, use your low beams and drive carefully. Any visibility issues should be resolved soon after the sun rises.
Afternoon conditions continue the loop I have mentioned over the past few days. Highs remain in the low to mid-60s while skies stay sunny. It will be another gorgeous day to enjoy across southern West Virginia. It is also Fabulous Football Friday here at WOAY. All of the scheduled games in our viewing area will kick off without issue. Temperatures drop steadily through the night, so make sure to bring layers and blankets for at least the second half of the games.
High pressure continues to linger in the northeast, allowing a steady pattern of calm and dry conditions. This weekend will be no exception, which is great news. Mornings remain chilly while afternoons bring us back to seasonable temperatures. Skies also stay mostly sunny, so any weekend plans will commence without issue. If you do not have weekend plans, I recommend making some! Hiking, fishing, or even a backyard gathering will all be great ways to spend this gorgeous weekend.

Next week will be similarly nice, for the most part. Lows will finally stay above 40 degrees mid-week, which is a nice touch. It will still be chilly, but better than this week. Afternoon highs stay in the mid-60s, which is slightly above average. High pressure will continue to influence our weather, but a frontal system is positioned to move towards our area through the week.
The nearly stationary front will remain to the north through Wednesday before slinking into the region late next week. Rain chances are fleeting through Halloween, which is good news. We are watching how this situation develops as high pressure tries to keep us dry through Trick-or-Treating hours. Here’s the 7-Day Forecast:
