Typical late October weather continues

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – It is yet another nice day around the region with the same sunshine and seasonable temperatures that have become so common over the last several days. Temperatures have gone up and down a bit from day to day, but overall, we’ve seen highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s and 40s. Tonight will be similar in terms of both sky cover and temperatures.

It will definitely be jacket weather by the morning, and we’ll have to scrape some frost off the vehicles as we head out to the morning plans, so a few extra minutes for the commute will be a good idea.

Tomorrow, temperatures will be in the lower to mid-60s again, a couple of degrees warmer than it wound up being today.
There will be more sunshine and light winds. Tomorrow night will also be a shade warmer but will still be cold enough to require a jacket.
The dry and seasonable trend lasts through the rest of the extended forecast, including this weekend. The weather for Friday night football and the weekend that follows will be very nice. Seeing the fall colors is a great idea this weekend, as most parts of southern West Virginia and Tazewell County are in peak color! Only the higher elevation areas are past peak at this point.
Highs will be in the lower to mid-60s and lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s each day.
Nice weather should last through Halloween, although the major atmospheric models indicate rain as a system finally comes from the northwest and ends the dry streak in early November. The American GFS has rain arriving earlier than the European, but neither shows rain on Halloween right now.
