OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – We saw scattered showers and isolated storms around parts of the area, but the showers have ended for now, and as was the case last night, it will be quite mild, with lows in the 50s and 60s area-wide.

Tomorrow will be a rinse and repeat type of day around the region, with highs in similar territory to where they were today, minus a few degrees. We’ll top out in the middle to upper 70s.

What will be even more similar is the general weather pattern that will feature scattered showers, with some isolated storms. Once again, one or two of the storms could be strong, but severe weather is not expected.

Lows tomorrow night will again be in the middle to upper 50s.
Better chances for showers and storms will, unfortunately, occur during our Easter holiday weekend. Saturday, we’ll be southeast of a vigorous cold front, and temperatures will be back into the upper 70s and lower 80s. Rain chances on Saturday will be higher than tomorrow and will continue to rise as the day progresses, eventually winding up at 90%.

The chance for rain continues on Easter Sunday, but the influence of the cold air begins to be felt, and highs will only make it to right around 60 degrees. While that’s close to the normal, it will feel quite cool compared to where we’ve been the last few days.
Once it’s here, the cool air stays with us for a few days with a strong high-pressure center over western Wisconsin by Tuesday morning, driving some cool air into the region from Canada, but the same high keeps us dry as well. Later in the week, the high moves east, and with the flow turning around the southwest, high temperatures are back into the upper 60s.
