Fayette County Humane Society hosting free dog adoption event now through May 24 amid code red status

Fayetteville, WV (WOAY)- If you want to open your home and heart to a canine companion, the Fayette County Humane Society (FCHS) has just the deal for you!

The shelter is waiving adoption fees all this week so that you can take your new best friend home at no charge. 

FCHS has been overcrowded with dogs for months and is at code red status.

They are unable to take any more surrenders as they are completely full. 

The event is for dogs only.  

There will still be an adoption fee for cats. 

The shelter is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at 513 Shelter Road in Fayetteville.
