PINEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department was called in to investigate a shooting Tuesday morning at 4:30 a.m.
A male victim with a gunshot wound showed up to the office in Pineville. There were two aggressors, one armed with a pistol, and one armed with a shotgun.
“I arrived on scene and spoke with the victim,” said department Captain Tommy Blankenship. “Actually three victims were involved with it. They said that they were picked up by two male individuals and a female. He was supposed to be transported home. While on their way home, they pulled off on Saulsville Mountain, and at that time, the two males began to rob the three males that they had picked up.”
The gunshot victim was transported to the hospital for his injuries.
