WYOMING COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Wyoming County School employees are anxiously anticipating returning to school.
The county is planning on opening with a staggered schedule to introduce new processes for the school year. There are approximately 750 students signed up for the virtual option, which is just under one quarter of the total number of students in the county.
“I think our teachers are anxious to get back into the building,” said Director of Student Services and Attendance John Henry. “They want to see children. Educators are just nurturers by nature, so we want kids back in. Obviously safety is at the forefront for us.”
The first day of school in Wyoming County is still set for Tuesday, September 7th.
