WVU Tech culinary arts program to teach various hospitality-related skills

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – WVU Tech is launching a culinary arts program for this upcoming semester.

The two year culinary program will be the only one offered by the WVU system of schools and will give students the skills they need to advance in the culinary field or even start their own operation.

According to Chef Devin Noor with the program, students will learn a variety of hospitality-related skills.

“It’s a hospitality culinary program with the WVU systems. It’s a Potomac State program and is offered here at WVU Tech. So we’ll be teaching students different management courses for hospitality as well as a culinary emphasis,” Noor said.

The program will start this fall and is expected to have 15-25 students.
